General Info about you, your spouse and any children you share. Specifically, some of this can include:
Your spouse’s name, birthdate and social security number
The same info for any children you share.
Financial Info for both you and your spouse. In particular, such info can include:
Banking information, including checking and savings account statements (for both separate and joint accounts if possible)
Income information, which can include paystubs, copies of commission checks or other items that can establish you and/or your spouse’s income
Income tax information, including (when possible) tax returns for the past year (or two)
Retirement account information (if and when applicable).
Debt-Related Info for both you and your spouse. Specifically, this type of info can include:
Mortgage loan information, including how much you and your spouse owe on any and all mortgage loans you share
Credit card debt information, including the total debt owed for joint (and separate) lines of credit
Car loan information, including how much you and/or your spouse owe on open vehicle loans
Info regarding any other joint lines of credit and/or outstanding debt you and your spouse have.
Property-Related Info to shed some light on the scope of the marital property. In particular, this type of info can include:
Deeds to homes or other real estate
Titles to vehicles
A list of your joint assets.
Additional Items, which can vary, depending on the details of your situation. Some additional items that may be important to bring can include (but are by no means limited to):
Prenups and/or postnup agreements you may have with your spouse
Copies of protective orders and/or police reports (if applicable).
